AN INTERIM ORDINANCE AMENDING COUNTY ORDINANCE 925,
CONSOLIDATING "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
3 and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows:
~ SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the
~ County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as an "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District, for a
? period of ~T62~ days, and such area shall be subject to the
$ restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
9 specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in
10 Paradise, California.
11 Beginning at the intersection of Stearns Road
12 with the northwest corner of "~1 Sabrante Park",
per map recorded in Map Baok 28 on Pages 39 and
40 in the Office of Butte County Recorder, thence
13 east to the northeast corner of said "~1 Sobrante
14 Park" also being the west rightyof-way line of
Pentz Magalia Highway; thence~~northeasterly to the
15 northwest corner of "Pineland.Park S ubdivision",
per map recorded in Map Book 26 .on Page 38, in
the Office of Butte County Recorder., thence
16 east to the northeast carner:of=said "Pineland
~~, Park Subdivision", said earner also being the
northwest corner of "Country Club Estates, Unit
18 iVo . 2" , per map recorded i n Maps:>Book 20 on pages

SECTION 2. The following regulations sha11 apply in an
"R-i" (Single-Family Residential} District:
2 ,1 USES PERMITTED :
::,a. Single -family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (But not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles.)
2.2 LOT AREA:
a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be no less than eight-thousand, one hundred
twenty~f~:ve ( 8,12 5 ) square feet .

SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said

Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the sane is hereby amended by adding

this Ordinance in full.

SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the Zoning

hereby imposed within the distract shall be as provided in the

Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with''~he provisions of

the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
Flits effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. For the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and
the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this
ordinance take effect immediately, A.declaration of the facts
constituting the necessity therefore is as follows:
The adoption of such znterim Zoning Plan is necessary in
the public interest, to rstaintain the status quo inF such district
pending the determination of the application for such permanent
detail zoning.
SECTION 7. This emergency ordinance shall take effect
iitvmediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(1S} days after its passage shall be published once with the named
of all members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against

circulation in the County of Butte, State of Californiac,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 7~ty, day of
