The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
~Califarnia, in that a prima .facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway:-: and determines and declares
~a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:

That a prima facie speed limit of thirty--five (35) miles per hour
is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LTMZT 35 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county
II h~-ghway to wit
LIBERTY LANE from CHTCO RIVER ROAD to?~LONE PINE AVENUE
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
~~are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the inW
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, ar term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera~
Iltive or invalid.
Section ~: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
~~hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
~~speed limit established herein, within thirty {30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published

with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local
newspaper pub~.ished in the County of Butte, State of California,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 17th day of
July 1973, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Gilman, Ladd, Madigan and Chairman McKill
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTIlVG: None
