WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard, Assessment Clerk, announced her retirement as of December 27, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard began her career with the County of Butte on August 21, 1989 with the Welfare
Department as an Office Clerk; transferred to the Sheriff's Department in February of 1990 as a Principal Clerk; and
transferred to the Assessor's Office on October 31, 1990 as a Typist Clerk II, advancing to Assessment Clerk 1, Assessment
Clerk II, and was reclassified as Assessment Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard has become indispensable at processing cash deposits and performing difficult
operations on the cash register; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard has consistently provided excellent customer service; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard has served under three Butte County Assessors, Ted Cleveland, Ken Reimers, and
Fred Holland; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard is a member of the Oroville Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Stampin' Up; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rookard diligently served the residents of the County of Butte for twenty -four years and four
months with extraordinary dedication;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the
County of Butte, wishes to express to Debbie Rookard sincere appreciation for her many years of unselfish dedication
and outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wishes her well on her retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 14`hday of
January, 2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter
