RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS FOR BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify
those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, The Oroville branch library will be undergoing a renovation and asbestos abatement beginning April
1, 2014, which will make the branch safer and cleaner for users of the branch; and
WHEREAS, the Library also wishes to provide in -depth training for library staff members on current procedures
and changes and enhanced customer service on October 13t ", 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Library will be open to
the public effective February 11, 2014 as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oroville branch of the Butte County Library will temporarily close for a period
not to exceed 60 calendar days beginning April 1, 2014.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each of the Butte County Library branches will be closed to the public on
Monday, October 13th, 2014.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the
preceding Saturday and all branches will close at 5:00 p. m. on the following days each year: the Wednesday prior to
Thanksgiving, December 24th and December 31St.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 13 -135, adopted October 8, 2013, is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on this 11th day
of February, 2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, and Chair Teeter
