HomeMy WebLinkAbout14-015Resolution No. 14 -015 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS FOR BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and WHEREAS, The Oroville branch library will be undergoing a renovation and asbestos abatement beginning April 1, 2014, which will make the branch safer and cleaner for users of the branch; and WHEREAS, the Library also wishes to provide in -depth training for library staff members on current procedures and changes and enhanced customer service on October 13t ", 2014. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Library will be open to the public effective February 11, 2014 as follows: Biggs Branch Gridley Branch Tuesday noon — 6 pm Tuesday noon — 6 pm Saturday 10 am — 4 pm Wednesday noon — 6 pm Thursday 10 am — 4 pm Friday 10 am — 4 pm Saturday 10 am —4 pm Sunday 1 pm -5pm Chico Branch Oroville Branch Monday 9 am —5 pm Tuesday 11 am —6 pm Tuesday 9 am —7 pm. Wednesday 11 am — 6 pm Wednesday 9 am —7 pm Thursday 10 am — 5 pm Thursday 9 am —7 pm Friday 10 am —5 pm Friday 9 am — 5 pm Saturday 10 am —5 pm Saturday 9 am —5 pm Sunday 1 pm — 5pm Sunday 1 pm — 5pm Paradise Branch Durham Branch Tuesday 11 am — 6 pm Tuesday noon — 6 pm Wednesday 11 am — 6pm Wednesday noon — 6 pm Thursday 10 am — 5 pm Thursday 10 am —4 pm Friday 10 am —5 pm Friday 10 am —4 pm Saturday 10 am —5 pm Saturday 10 am —4 pm Sunday 1 pm —5pm BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oroville branch of the Butte County Library will temporarily close for a period not to exceed 60 calendar days beginning April 1, 2014. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each of the Butte County Library branches will be closed to the public on Monday, October 13th, 2014. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the preceding Saturday and all branches will close at 5:00 p. m. on the following days each year: the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving, December 24th and December 31St. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 13 -135, adopted October 8, 2013, is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
