A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING TCI THE CALIFORNIA STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT UNDER THE C'AL O E
PROGRAM
The Board of Supervisors o ft:he County of Butte
HEREBY AUTHORIZES TIIE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING INAND COMMtJNITY DEVELOPMENT F'OR FUNDING UNDER THE
CA ..FIIOiv E PROGRAM; THE EXECUTION OF A STANDARD AGREEMENT IF SELECTED FOR SUCH
FUNDING AND ANY AMENDMENTS HERETO;, AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CAL HOME PROGRAM.
WHEREAS:
A. The County of Butte, a political subdivision of the State of California, wishes to apply for and receive an
allocation of funds through the Calilome Program; and
B. The California.(Department of housing and Community Development (hereinafter referred to as "HCID")
has issued a Notice of Funding Availability ("NOF"A") for the CaMome program established by Chapter
4, Statutes of 2000 (SB 1.656 Alarcon), and codified in. Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 50650) of
Part 2 of(Division 31 of the Health and Safety Code (the "statute"), Pursuant to the statute, HC'1D is
authorized to approve funding allocations utilizing monies made available by the State Legislature to the
Call-lame program, subject to the terms and conditions of the statute and the. CalHome Program
Regulations adopted by I-(CID in April 2004; and
C. The County of Butte wishes to submit an application to obtain from. HC1D and allocation of CalHome
funds in the amount of$350,000.
ITIS, NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT:
L The County of Butte shall submit to HC1D an application to participate in the CalHome Program in
response to the NOTA issued on April 29, 2014 which will request an allocation of funds up'to $350,000
for the following activities in the unincorporated area of Butte County:
Manufactured Housing: Owner Occupied Rehabilitation: $350,000
1 If the application for funding is approved, the County of Butte hereby agrees to use the Cal:Home funds
for eligible activities in the manner presented in the application as approved by HC1D and in accordance
with prorarn regulations cited above. It also may execute any and all other instruments necessary or
required by HCID for participation in the CalHome Program.
3. The County of Butte authorizes the Chief Administrative Officer and the Manager, Program
Development to execute in the name of the County of Butte, the application, the Standard Agreement,
and all other documents required by HCI for participation in the CalHome Program, and any
amendments thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 20t" Day of
May, 2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
