RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE EXISTS CE OF AND AUTHORIZING THE COMBINATION
OF AND INCREASE TO THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CHANGE FUNDS FOR BOTCH
BUILDING INSPECTION AND PLANNING
WHEREAS,the Department of Development Services hashad in its possession and has been using two separate change
funds (Building Inspection-$75 and Planning-$50)for over 60 years; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 29320,et seq. provides for the establishment and maintenance of such
funds in amounts to be determined by the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the combination of those two separate change funds into one fund and
increasing the combined amount to $300 will better serve the ineeds of the department and public,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,as follows:
1. There is a continuing need for the existence of a change fund in the Department of Development Services.
. The two existing change funds (Building Inspections-$75 and 'Planning-$513) shall be combined and increased
from $125 combined to$300 into one fund for use by the Development Services Department in meeting the
needs of the department and the public.
3. The combination and increase of these existing funds is in accordance with Section 29320 et. seq. of the
Government Code of the State of California, and certified copies of this resolution shall be transmitted to
the County Auditor and County Treasurer.
4. The County Administrative Officer is instructed pursuant to Section 29.323 of the California Government
Code to amend by endorsement the blanket fidelity bond of the County to be conditioned in its accordance
with its other provisions and upon the faithful' administration of the change fund and upon the willingness of
the principal for whom such fund has been established to pay over the fund upon demand of the Board of
Supervisors at any time.
S. The Auditor of the County of Butte is hereby directed to adjust the County records to show the existence of
such a change fund in the Department of Development Services.
& The Development Services Director or his/her designee will account for the Development Services Change
Fund in accordance with Government Code Section 29390 et. seq. and will periodically verify the amount in
the fund when requested by the Auiditor-Controller or the Board of Supervisors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 101h day of June, 2014 by the Butte County Burd of Supervisors by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
NOES: None
NOT VOTING: None
ABSENT: None
