RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITIONF BRUCE A. WRIST'EN UPON HIS RETIREMENT
FROM THE BUTTEUI T I T ATTORNEY'S FFIC
WHEREAS, Bruce A.Wristen, Investigative Lieutenant for the Butte County District Attorney's Office, has
announced his retirement effective June 6, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Wristen began his career with the County of Butte in December 1999 as an Investigative
Assistant, promoted to Investigator in November 2001 and to Investigative Lieutenant in December 2006; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Wristen served 7 years with the Oroville Police Department as a patrol Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Wristen investigateda wide range of crimes during his career,everything from drunken driving
to homicide, co-founder of the District Attorney's (Hazardous Entry and Arrest Team (HEAT) and liaison for Board of
Supervisors security. Lt. Wristen was the initial investigator on the Gililland and Symmes real estate fraud case which
was elevated to the Ul.S. Department of Justice, resulting in arrests and convictions throughout California; and
WHEREAS, (Bruce Wristen, with a 22 year lawn enforcement career, has earned the respect of coworkers,
countywide law enforcement personnel and state enforcement agencies and diligently served the residents of the
County of Butte with extraordinary distinction and leaderships
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors,on its own behalf and on behalf of the
residents of Butte County, do wish to extend to (Bruce A. Wristen sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish
dedication and outstanding service to the residents of Butte County and further,to wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,this Kath
day of June, 2014, by the following voter
