Re-issue Time Expired
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 29802(a), any warrant (aka check) issued by the
county is void if not presented to the county treasurer for payment within six months after its issuance data, and
WHEREAS,`r S, in the event a county-issued check is lost or destroyed, Government Code Section
2902(c), allows the governing beady to adopt a resolution instructing the county auditor to draw a new warrant
in favor of the payee or assignee in the same amount as the original warrant; and
WHEREAS, the Bank of the West has reported that they had recently found an Lin-cashed check in the
amount of$88.56 issued by Butte County can:lune 28, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Bank of the ''fest has requested the issuance of a replacement check; and
WHEREAS, theAuditor-Controller's office has verified that the check is time expired and that no
replacement checks have been issued-,
NOW, T F E T'1 RESOLVED, the Butte County Board of Supervisors does hereby
authorize the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to the above named payee in the same amount of the original.
