Resolution No. 14-081
RESOLUTION I APPROPRIATIONS
THE FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 COUNTY BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California has heretofore
approved) a Recommended Budget for the County of Butte and held a duly noticed hearing as required by lava
for the purpose of considering a budget for the fiscal year 2014-2015; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was concludedon lune 24, 2014,. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers in the
Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Administrative Officer has submitted a written compilation of the modifications to,
the Recommended Budget which were approved by the Board of Supervisors during the hearing.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, that the Recommended Budget, as modified by the amendments set forth in Schedule A, is hereby
adopted as the budget for the County of Butte for fiscal year 2014-2015; and
E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the General Fund balance available exceeds $15,565,000 the
additional annount, up to $1,000,000 will be used to increase the General) Fund Reserve and anything beyond
that will be used to increase General Fund Appropriation for Contingencies, but if it is less than $15,565,000
any shortfall will be addressed by reducing General Fund Contingencies and any shortfall greater than the
General Fund Contingencies amount will be addressed by reducing the General Fund Reserve; and
E IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that theAuditor-Controller is hereby authorized to adjust the
Appropriations for Contingencies and use of obligated fund balance in each fund as necessary to balance the
fund and the budget due to differences from estimated' to actual fund balance, subject to review and approval
by the Chief administrative Officer; and
E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Audiitor-Controller is hereby requested to report all adjiustments to
appropriations needed to balance any fund to the Board of Supervisors no later than September 23, 2014,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of California, this 29th day
of July, 2014, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
