Resolution No. 14-151
RESOLUTION AMENDING E MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED
By THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Diaster Fee Schedule by Resolution
on March 24, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services, provided
however, that such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing such services; and
WHEREAS, maintenance of a Master Fee Schedule serves the convenience of the County and all
persons affected by said charges; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed
fee adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney has developed a diversion program targeting individuals cited for
violation of Penal Code section 47(f) called the Social Accountability Program; and
WHEREAS,, the Social Accountability Program serves the public interest by increasing accountability
for offenders and educating thein as to the dangers of binge drinking;. and
WHEREAS, administration of said program requires the effort of various members of the District
Attorney's staff; and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney's Office has conducted a study to determine the cost of administering
said program by the District Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, participation in the program will require the payment of fees and/or costs to other entities
as established by those entities; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to establish an administrative fee to cover the cost to the
District Attorney's Office in order to support the operation of the Social Accountability Program.
iO , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts the
fee as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect the
change. The fee adjiustment shall become effective November 20, 2014.
