AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE 07a' CALIFORNIA, AN "AR-MH" tAGRICUL-
TURAL F.ESIDENTTAL-MOBILE HOME} DISTRICT, PURSUANT
1 TO ORDINANCE NO . 4 7S , A5 AS~'~ENDED .
2 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
g California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said
~¢ COUnty, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of saicl County, as
~. amended, DO ORDAIN as follows>
g SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, situated in
7 ;the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
g thereby zoned as an "AR-MH" (Agricultural Residential -- Mobile
9 Home} District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions
10 and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and
I1; provided. Said area so zoned being lac ated south of Oroville,
12 in the unincorporated area of Butte County, mare particularly ',
13 `described as follows:
Z4` On the east side of Pacific Heights Rd., described
as "Lots 1 & 2" per Parcel Map of record in Map
15 Book 46 on Page 97 in the Office of the Butte County
Recorder.

17 SECTION 2 . REGULATIONS FOR AN "AR--Mid" DISTRICT
Z8 The following regulations shall aAnly in an "AR-~`~i"
Z9 District:
2p 2.1 USES PERMITTED:
21 a. Single-family dwellings .
22 b. Mobile Homes - to house one family, when such
23 mobile home is the only housing facility located
~ an the premises, provided the following condit~.ons
are conformed to:
2B 1) The gross area of the mobile home shall not be
1 Jess than 504 square feet.
2 2) AJI sanitary facilities shall conform to State
3 Statutes and regulations and to local rec{uire-
4 meets of the Butte County Health Department.
5 3) All electrical installations shall conform to
B State Statutes and regulations as administexed
7 by the Building Division of the Butte County
8 Public Works Department.
9 c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
ZO d. Agricultural uses.

e. Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
32 l~ ~~inimum lot area to be devoted to residential
13 use shall be not less than eight thousand,
34 one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
15 2) Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
36' use, the following lot or parcel areas shall be
17 required for each animal raised or kept on the
38 premises:
39 a) For each horse or head of cattle over one
20 (1) year of age - eight thousand one hundred
23 twenty--five ( 8,125} square feet,
22 ~ b} For each head of swine over ten (10) weeks
23 of age - eight thousand, one hundred twenty-
24 five (8,125} square feet,
~ c) For each head of sheep or goats -~ two
26 thousand ( 2 , 0 0 4 ) scruare feet .

2.2 TEiE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
a. Duplex dwellings and multiple--family dwellings.
b. Golf Courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessary uses such as driving -range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
c. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,

schools and public utility buildings.
j' d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
f. Nurseries and plant gardens.
2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED: Minimum required area of lot r~er
'dwelling unit shall be not less than ei ght thousand, one hundred
twenty'--five square feet.
2.4 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED: P~tinimum lot width shall be not
-less than sixty-five (65} feet.

~. 2.5 FRONT YARD RCQUIFtED: ~'iinimum front yard shall be

~~ifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where

the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
;Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five
!(55) feet from the centerline of the road.
2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIRED: T~iinimum side yard shall not be

- less than five (5) feet
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized.-.and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.

SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties far the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in'.the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In campliar~ce with the provisions of
teh Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this ordinance shall from and after
pits effective date become a supplement to and taart of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty {30}
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15} days after its passage, this ordinance shall be pub-
lisped once with the names of the members of the Board of 5uper-
visors voting for and against it in the Oxoyiile Mercury ,
a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Soard of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 11~h day of
December 197 3 , by the following vote :
