RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF STEVE CHASE
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Steve Chase, Lead Traffic Control Worker, announced his retirement as of December 27, 2014; and
WHEREAS,Steve began his career with the County of Butte in 1994 as a Traffic Control Worker I in the Department
of Public Works, advancing within the department to become Traffic Control Worker Lead, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Steve has striped more than 10,000 miles of Butte County roadway, repaired and replaced more than
6,000 signs, and takes extreme care of county property assigned to him; and
WHEREAS,Steve served not only the County of Butte, but served his country for twenty- wo years; eight years in
the U.S. Air Force and fourteen years in the National Guard; and
WHEREAS, Steve plans on traveling the states upon retirement; and
WHEREAS, Steve has earned the respect of fellow employees, road crews, engineers, surveyors, contractors, and
the public. Steve has diligently served the residents of the County of Butte for twenty years with extraordinary distinction
and leadership;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that this Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County
of Butte, wish to express to Steve Chase sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding
service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 9'h day of
December, 2014, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, WahI, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
