RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF BRUCE JACQUOT
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Bruce Jacquot,Supervisor Road Maintenance announced his retirement as of December 27, 2014;and
WHEREAS, Bruce began his career with the County of Butte in January 1989 as a Vehicle Service Worker in the
Department of Public Works, advancing within the department in responsible positions to become Supervisor, Road
Maintenance, his present position; and
WHEREAS, Bruce has lubed vehicles, repaired pot holes, plowed snow, managed flood control,and did all sorts of
maintenance on more than 1,300 miles of roadway; and
WHEREAS, Bruce is looking forward to retiring so he will have time to finish replacing his roof, and start on the
honey-do list his wife started for him years ago; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Jacquot has earned the respect of fellow employees, road crews, engineers, surveyors,
contractors, and the public who knew they could call for assistance anytime of the year. Bruce has diligently served the
residents of the County of Butte for nearly twenty-six years with extraordinary distinction and leadership;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that this Board,on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County
of Butte,wish to express to Bruce Jacquot sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and outstanding
service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 9th day of
December, 2014, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, WahI, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
