Resolution No. 14-181
RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF THOMAS ORENDORFF
UPON RETIREMENT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBUC WORKS, COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, Thomas Orendorff — Heavy Equipment Mechanic Senior for the Department of Public Works,
announced his retirement as of December 27, 2014; and
WHEREAS,Tom Orendorff began his career with the County of Butte in 1990, as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, in
the Department of Public Works,advancing within the Department in responsible positions,to become Heavy Equipment
Mechanic—Senior, hispresentposition; and
WHEREAS,Tom Orendorff has worked in Public Works Fleet Services for 24 years providing outstanding service in
all aspects of maintaining and repairing Butte County's diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment in support of 24 County
departments;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that this Board,on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of the County
of Butte, wish to express to Tom Orendorff our sincere appreciation for his many years of unselfish dedication and
outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wish him well on his retirement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 9th day of
December 2014, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
