' The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situat~d in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned an "R-4" (Maximum-Density Dwellings-Restricted
Service} District for a period of 124 days, and such area
shah. be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
zoned being located near Durham and described ase
Being a portion of Lot 6 of "R. M. Turner's 2nd
Sub." per map recorded in Map Baok B on Page 10,
in the Office of Butte County Recorder, described
as beginning at the northeast corner of said
Lot 6, thence west along the north line of said
Lot 6, 284 f t.; thence south parallel with the
west line of said Lot 6, 200 ft; thence east
parallel with the north line of said Lot 6,
351 ft. to the east line of said Lot 6; thence
N 19° 0' W, 211 ft, to the point of beginning.
Containing 1.46 acres.
SECTION 2, REGULATIONS ~'OR AN "R-4" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "R-4"
District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. One-family dwellings, two-family dwellings and
multi-family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. .Professional and business offices (including but not
limited to doctors, lawyers and aecountants~, rest

homes, convalescent homes or homes for the aged and
sanitariums.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the pertinent uses.
d. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles).
2.2 LOT AREA REQUIRED:
Minimum area of a lot shall not be less than eight
thousand, one hundred twenty-five {8,125) square
feet.
2 .3 LO1 WIDTH REQUIRED
Minimum lot width shall. not be less than sixty--five
(55) feet.
2.4 FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum front yard shall not be Tess than fifty {50)
feet from the centerline of the road, except where
the road is classified by the County as a Federal
Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback
requirement shall be fifty-five {55) feet from the
centerline of said road.
2 .5 S IDE YARDS REQUIRED
Minimum Side yard shall not be less than five {5)
feet.
2.6 OFF~STREET PARKING REQUIRED:
Off-street parking shal3. be provided on the basis of
• one (1) parking space for each dwelling unit, and
for professional and business offices it shall be

made on the basis of two (2} square feet for each

2.7 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT

a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b. Public and quas i-public uses including churches,
firehouses, Izospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools
and playgrounds, schools and public utility building,
SECTZON 3. All uses of land with the District not
specifically authorized or permitted under Section 2, are pro-
hibited.
SECTION ~, In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ord~.nance, the same is hereby amended by adding

SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions
of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTZON 6.. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediate3.y upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(I.5) days after its passage shall be published once with the
names of all members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
against the same in the Oroville Mere a newspaper
in general circulation. in-the County of Butte, State of California
