AN INTERIM?. ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY
OF i3UTTE AND "S-2 " ( SUBURBAN PES IDENTIAL) DISTRICT
Y The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California under anal pursuant to Ordznanc,e No. 475, as amended,_
3 and declaring an emergency , DO ORDAIN, as follo~,as
4 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in the
6 County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as an "S-2" (Suburban Residential} District for a period
7 of 18a days, and such area shall be subject to the restric--
$ bons and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified
9 and provided. Said area so zoned being located west of Chico
IO and described as:
~~ Beginning at the SW corner of Lot 1 of "Oak M~Ianor
Sub" as recorded in map of record in Boole 35 on
12 Page ~5 in the Office of the Butte County Recorder;
thence north along the was terly line of s aid T.~ot 1
13 to the NG~J corner of said Lot 1, also being on the
centerline of Big Chico Creek; thence westerly along
I4 the centerline of Big Chico Creek to the NW corner of
Lat•26 of the "Morehead Ranch Sub No. 2" as recorded in
15 map of record Book 1~, Pages 8 & 9, in the Office of
the Butte County Recorder; thence south alonq_ the
16 west line of said Lot 26 to the SW corner of said.
Lot 26, also being on the north right-of-way li~x°
17 of Oak Park Ave,; thence easterly along said. right-
18 of-way line to the paint of beginning. Containing
92 acres, more or less.
19 SECTTDN 2. Regulations for an "S-2" District. The
20 following regulations shah. apply in an "S-2" District:

24 b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.

SECTION 4. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Sections 2 and 3 are
prohibited.
SECTION S. In compliance with: the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 6. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as ~arovided an the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. 2n compliance with the provisions of
'the zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECT20N 7. This urgency ordinance shall tape effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(l5? days after its passage shall be published once with the
names of all members of the Board of Supervisars voting for and
against the same in the Chico Enterprise-Record __, a newspaper
an general circulation an the County of Butte, State of California.
The facts constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is
based are:
1. To allow tame for completion of a compr_~hensive
zoning study for the west Chaco area.
