BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE 1432
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN
THE COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Sections 22357 & 22358)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per
hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and de-
clares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
A. That a prima facie speed limit of Thirty-five (35) miles per
hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35
MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the3hereinafter-described
county highway, to wit:
ORD RANCH ROAD from LARKIN ROAD to East End of ORD RANCH ROAD
Section 2: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
tine or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.

State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 26th day
of gebruary 1974, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Gilman, Ladd, McKillop and Chairman Madigan
