HomeMy WebLinkAbout1433' ~~dinance Naa 1433 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 ("BUILDINGS') OF THE BUTTE COUNTY _CODE _.._.~.._~~.~~_w 1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte DO ORDAiN ~ as follows: 3- Section 2b-3 of the Butte County Code is amended to read as 4 follows: g "Section 2b~3. Building Code~~Amendments, add~ions and g del-etionsa The Uniform Building Code as adopted by Section 26:-1 7 i s amended a s follows g Section 204 of the Uniform Building Code is hereby deleted 9 The Local appeals board of the county which was established by 10 Resolution Nop 64-3 by the county board of superv~:sors shall hear 11 any and all. appeals regarding the application and enforcement 12 of this chapter. 13 Section 301 (a) of the Uniform Building Code is hereby 14 amended by the addition of the following paragraphs: 15 "No permits sha11 be required for any agricultural 16 building. Agricultural buildings are defined as follows: 17 'Agricultural building is a building located on 18 agricultural property and used to shelter farm implements, 19 hay, grain, poultry, livestock, or other farm produce, 20 in which there is no human habitation, is not used 21 commercially and which is not used by the public."' 22 'tNo permits shall be required for detached structures 23 which have a total net area, including additions, of not 24 more than two hundred (200) square feet, which would ~ have an occupancy classification of Type J as defined 2B in the Uniform Building Code, and which would be detached ~~~~W a 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9' 10' 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 28 26 a minimum of six (6} feet from any building requiring a building permit. This exemption shall apply to tool sheds,'I '~ wood sheds, and other storage shedso This exemption shall not apply to laundry buildings, bath houses, carports, garages and pump houses."' Section 302(d) of the Uniform Building Cade is amended I as follows: "Every building permit issued under the provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void after one {1) year from the date of issuance of said permit. If building is under construction, before work can continue, a new permit shall be first obtained and the fee therefor shall be one-half (2) the amount required for the original permit, provideds no changes have been made in the original planso" Section 303(b) of the Uniform Building Code is hereby amended to exclude plan checking fees on single family dwellings and duplexes as well as their appurtenant structureso Section 303 of said Uniform Building Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (c) as follows: "The building permit fees for factory built housing shall be computed in the same manner as for regular building construction except that the fee shall be one- half {~} of the building permit fee determined by Table 3A of said Uniform Building Code." ~ ..oa. 20 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 YO 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 I 21' 22 23 24 28 ~, ~B Section 303 of said Unif orm Building Code is hereby amended by adding subsection (d) as follows: "Where an owner or contractor desires an additional set of approved building plans, the fee for this service shall be five dollars ($5.00) for residential buildings, and ten dollars {$10000) for commercial buildings." Section 303 of said Uniform Building Cade is hereby amended by adding subsection (e) as follows: "After building plans have been checked by the department of public works and if the owner or contractor desires to significantly change or redesign the building or structure which would constitute additional plan checking work, an additional plan check fee may be required." Section 303 of said Uniform Building Cade is hereby amended by a.dd~:ng~: .subsection (f) as follows: 'WWhere an owner desires an inspection of a building on which there is not an active building permit, for financing or other purposes, the inspection fee shall be twenty-five dollars ($25000) per building.
