AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
STATE .OF CALIFORNIA, AN "AR-MH-3" (AGRICULTURAL-RESI-
DENTIAL-MOBILE HOME) DISTRICT AND ESTABLISHING
1 REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF LAND AND THE CONSTRUCTION
OF BUILDINGS .
2 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of

3 Ca.iifornia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
4 DOES ORDAIN as follows:
5 SECTION ~.. The hereinafter described area situated in the
6 County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
7 zoned as an "AR-MH-3" {Agricultural-Residential Mobile Home)
8 District and such area shall be sub3ect to the restrictions and
9 restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
10 Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of
11 Butte County:
12 Being a portion of T23N R3E, located north of Paradise
13 and west of "Skyway" more specifically described as
being that portion of Section 27 located south of
"Ponderosa Way° ident~.fied as Road N 257 as Shawn on
14 H .P .S . map 2F1 on file in the Office of the Butte
County De~aartment of Public Works and east of "Nimshew
15 Ridge Road"
16 And the northeast ~ of Section 34, and the north ~
17 of the southeast 4 of Section 34, also in T23N R3E
MDB&M.
18 Containing 28S acres, more or less.
19 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "AR-UIH-3" DISTRICT:
20 The following regulations shall apply in an "AR-i~'!H-3"
21 District:
22 2.1 USES PERMITTED:
23 a . Single-family dwellings .

b. Mobile Homes - to house one family, when such Mobile

Home is the only housing facility located on the

'premises, provided the fallowing conditions are

conformed to:
~.. The gross-area of the mobile home shall-not be
less than 500 square feet.
2. All sanitary facilities shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations and to local require-
ments of the Butte County Health Department.
3. All electrical installations shall conform to
State Statutes and regulations as administered
by the Bu~.lding Di.visian of the Butte County
Public Works Department.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
d. Agricultural uses.
e, Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1, Far each horse or head of cattle over one {7)
year of age - eight thousand, one hundred twenty-
five {8,125) square feet..
2. For each head of swine aver ten (10) weeks of age
- eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five {8,125)
square feet.
3. For each head o£ sheep or goats - two thousand
{2,000) square feet.
~,2 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE: .
a. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pre
shop, cockta~.l bar, restaurant.

b. Public and quasi_public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parlcs and playgrounds, schools

and public utility buildings.
c. Livestock farming.
d. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
e. Nurseries and plant gardens.
2 .3 LOT AREA REQUIRFD : Minimum required area of a lot
per dwelling unit shall be not less than three (3) acres.
2.4 LOT WIDTI~ REQUIRED: Minimum lot width shall be not
less than one hundred thirty (130) feet.
2.5 FRONT YARD REQUIRED: Minimum front yard shall be

road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road,
the ma.nimum building setback requirement shall be fi£ty~-£~ive (55)
feet from the centerline o£ the road.
2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIRED: Minimum side yard shall not be
less than ten {10) feet.
SECTION 3. A11 uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4, In compliance with the provisions of the Zon-
ing Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its
effective date become a supplement to and part o£ the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the Zoning
hereby imposed within the District shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.

SECTION 6. That this ordinance shall take effect thirty
(3.0} days after the. date of its adoption, and before the expiry-.
tion of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against it in the
Paradise Post , a newspaper published in the
County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte., State of California, this 19th day of
March , 1974, by the following votes:
AYES: Supervisors Camexon, Gilman, Ladd and McKillop
NOES: None
ABSENT: Chairman Madigan
