AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OP ORDINANCE 475
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 676
1 The Doard of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, DO ORDAIN as follows:
S SECTION 1. Amendment to Section 6 of Ordinance 475.
4 Section 6 of Butte County Ordinance 475, known as the
~ "Butte County Zoning Enabling Ordinance", as amended by Butte
6 County Ordinance Nos. 522 and 676, is hereby amended to read as
7 follows: I,
8 "A-2" District -- Ti~is district is for all uses except the
9 following for which a use permit is required:
10 a. Jun3c yards, secondhand stores, auto wrecking yards,
11 used car lots, trailer sales and equipment sales.
12 b. Commercial distillation of bones, abattoirs, auction
33 yards, commercial livestock feed yards, commercial
14 millings, canneries, lumber and lu:-nber processing,
15 tanneries, fat rendering, garbage fed commercial hog
16 raising, food and agriculture product processing
17 plants .
18 c. Country clubs, golf courses, race tracks, drive-ins,
~'~ ball parks, riding academies, bowling alleys, com-
20 mercial amusement enterprises, taverns, dance halls
2I and other places of recreation of a similar character.
22 d. Commercial kennels and small animal hospitals and

crematories.

e. Trailer courts, construction labor camps.

f. Commercial airports (excepting individual or private

airports and those operated exclusively for agricul-
tural purposes}.

g. Cemeteries, crematories, mausoleums, or other places
far burial or other disposal of the human dead.
h. Storage of inf lammables (excepting far agricultural.

i. Commercial ar public dumping and disposal areas.

gypsum, lime, plaster of paris, pulp and paper, beet
sugar, crushed rock, sand and gravel., cement, concrete
and/or asphalt batching plants, concrete and clay
products.
]~. Industrial uses which might be objectionable by reason
of emission of noise, offensive odor, smoxe, dust,
bright light, vibration or involving the hayidling of
explosives or dangerous materials."
SECTION 2. Purpose. This ordinance is declaratory of ex-
isting law as it has been interpreted and relied upon by the
Planning Department, Planning Cor~uriission, Board of Supervisors
and members of the public. The purpose of this ordinance is to
correct an inadvertent omission made in the enaci~ment of Ordinance
No. 676, i.e. the inadvertent omission of the introductory lan-
guage of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 475. The purpose of Ordinance
No. 676 was to amend Section 6 of Ordinance 475 by delineating
additional uses for which use permits were to be required in the
A-2 district, not to repeal the introductory language of said
Section 6.
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 676 i.s hereby repealed.

Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same- is hereby amended by adding
t~~.is Ordinance in full. .
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to~be_ i~i:full force. and"affect:from,~and :after thirty (3fl)
days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {l5} days after its passage, this ordinance shall be pubes
fished once with the names of the members of the Board of Super-

State of California.

County of Butte, State of California, this 16th day of
