ThE hereinafter described area situated in the County of Butte, State of California, sha11 be and it is hereby zoned as a "5--1" (Medium-Density Suburban Residential) District, for a period of 120 days, and such area shah. be subject tv the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided, Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, California, near Gridley, more particularly described as follows: Being a portion of the NE 4 of Sec l7, Tl7N, R3E, MDB&M, described as coz~.nencing at the SW cornea of Lot 11 of "Manzanita Place Sub. No. l", per map of record in Book 6 on Page 54; thence south along the east right-of-way line of Larkin Rd., 5l5 ft. to the point of beginning; thence east parallel with the south line of Lot li, said Manzanita Place Sub. No. 1, f3l ft.; thence south parallel with the east right- of-way line of Larkin Rd., 299 ft. to the north line of Lot 1 of "Andrew W. Campbell Sub.", per map of record in Book 8 on page 33; thence west alongthe north line of Lot 1 of said "Andrew W. Campbell Sub.", 84 ft.; thence south parallel with the east right-of-way ling of Larkin Rd . , 375 .5 ft . ; thence west parallel with the north line of said Lot 1, 547 ft. to the east right-of-way line of Larkin Rd.; thence north along the east right-of~-way line of Larkin Rd ., 674.5 ft. to the point of beginning,'containing 9.5 acres, mare or less. SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-1" DISTRICT: The following regulations shall„apply in an "S-~l" District 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. 2.2 Agricultural uses, except live tack, subject to the following requirements: a. For each horse or head of cattle over one {1) year of age, one (1} acre. b. For each head of swine over ten (l~} weeks of age, one (1 } . acre . c. Far each head of sheep or goats, one (i) acre for the first head and one half Zl/2 }, ~a~cre~'.,for~ each ~~ head thereafter . 2 .3 LOT AREA Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit ~, shall.not.be less than eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five (8.125) square feet. 2.4 LOT WIDTH: . THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT IN EACH CASE: a. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches. b. Hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public utility buildings. SECTION 4. All uses of land not specifically authorized and permitted in Sections 2 and 3 are prohibited. SECTION 5, The penalties for tha violation of the zoning he re by imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fif'tee~ (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the name: of all members voting for and against the same in the Gridley Herald a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California. The facts constituting the urgency an which this ordinance is based are: 1. In order to maintain the integrity of the existing land use during zoning hearings.
