HomeMy WebLinkAbout14691 2 3 4~ s 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 1~4 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2S 26 27 2S 29 30 31 32 BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE N0. .~69 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF DJTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA (Vehicle Code Sections 22357 & 22358) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows: A, That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIlKIT 35 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county highway to wit: Hosler Avenue from Nord Highway to north end Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in- validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisAns, section, or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera- hive or invalid. Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
