AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALTFORNTA
{Vehicle Code Section 2235$}
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
2 does ordain as follows:
3 Section 1: Said Board finds and. determines that upon the basis ofr an
4 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
5 come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
6 California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (55) miles per hour
7 is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and de-

I.3 JONES AVENUE from Midway to 0.5 Mile south
14 CHTCO RIVER ROAD from 200 feet west of North Graves Avenue to Chico City Limits
15 COLUMBINE AVENUE from Skyway to easterly end
Ig STETF'FER ROAD from Skyway to easterly end
17 ROSEWOOD ARIVE from Skyway to easterly end
18 CARNEGIE ROAD from Magalia Nimshew to southerly end
~,g COLTER WAY from Skyway to Carnegie Road
2p WYCLIFF WAY from Skyway to Creston Road
21 CRESTON ROAD from Skyway to Ponderosa Way
22 PONDEROSA WAY from Skyway to westerly end
23 SOUTH PARK DRIVE from Skyway to Ponderosa Way
24 CUMBERLAND ROAD from Skyway to Wycliff Way
25 B. That a prima facie speed limit of Forty-five (45} miles per hour
28 is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 45 MTLES

signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-describer County
highway to wit:
JONES AVENUE from Durham Highway to Q.5 mile south of Midway
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section. 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
tive or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed Limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, azzd
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a Local
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADDPTED :by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 27th day of
August 197, by the following vote;
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Gilman, Ladd, McKillop and Chairman Madigan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VDTZNG: None
