RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED
BY THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution
on March 24, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services, provided
however, that such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing such services; and
WHEREAS, maintenance of a Master Fee Schedule serves the convenience of the County and all
persons affected by said charges; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed
fee adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Health has identified new fee subcategories that allow for a
reduction in the fee for certain services provided; and
WHEREAS, the State of California now requires the Department of Public Health to provide additional
services related to the inspection and permitting of cottage food operations, body art facilities, and body art
practitioners; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to direction provided by the California Department of Public Health, the Clerk-
Recorder recommends increasing the fee for filing an affidavit to amend a confidential marriage license; and
WHEREAS, Government Code section 27397 allows counties to impose a $1 fee for each instrument
recorded by the County for the purposes of modernization improvements and the implementation of an
electronic recording delivery system; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk-Recorder recommends increasing the fee for initial access to the online map
indexing program; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to adjust the fees for various services provided by the
County of Butte as set forth above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts the
fees as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect
the changes. All fee adjustments shallbecome effective March 12th, 2015, except for those fee adjustments
related to body art facility plan reviewwhich shall become effective April 11m, 2015.
