RESOLUTION MAKING APPLICATION TO THE BUTTE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION REGARDING A
PROPOSAL FOR THE DISSOLUTION OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA 120, OAK WAY PARK
WHEREAS,the parcel owners within Oak May Park(County Service Area 120)were annexed into the City of Chico
in May of 1997,
WHEREAS, Butte County Public Works and the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte supports the
dissolution of CSA 120; and
WHEREAS,the purpose of the dissolution of CSA 120 will eliminate the requirement of annual State reporting for
this special district; and
WHEREAS, the dissolution of this County Service Area is categorically exempt from the requirements of the
California Environmental Quality Act by CEA exemption 15301; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the County of Butte to dissolve CSA 120 if approved by Butte LAFCo; and
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. That an application is hereby made to the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission in
accordance with the Cortese-Knox Local.Government Reorganization Act of 1955, as set forth in Division
3, Title 5 of the California Government Code, commencing with Section 57102, for the dissolution of a
County Service Area (CSA).
2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to sign and submit the Butte County Local Agency Formation
Commission application.
3. That Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission approval of the dissolution of CSA 120 and the
Certificate of Completion shall be recorded when the dissolution conditions have been fulfilled:
4. That the Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the
Executive officer of the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 24th day of March, 2015 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Lambert and Chair Teeter
ES: Supervisor Kirk
