RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY, ON BEHALF OF THE 4OARD OF SUPERVISORS,TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES(Cal OES)
VICTIM/WITNESS(VW)ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND THE COUNTY OF BUTTE (AWARD#:VW 14 04 0040)
WHE EAS,the Butte County Board of Supervisors have previously entered into an agreement with the California
Governor's Office of Emergency Services—Victim/Witness Assistance Program (hereafter referred to as the "Cal
OES-VW"); and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney desires to continue applying for and receiving grant funds under this program
for the FY 15/16 grant award period, and for future grant award periods that become available through the Cal
OES-VW; and
WHEREAS the grant applications requires the written authorization by the Governing Board; and
WHEREAS the grant application time is often so compressed that Board authorization is not possible to obtain
before grant documents are due to Cal OES-VW; and this fiscal year the documentation was due prior to
department ability to get Board approval.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors hereby approves the FY 15/16 agreement
with Cal OES-VW dated August 28, 2015 and ratifies the District Attorney Michael L. Ramsey's signature on said
agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District Attorney of the County of Butte is authorized to sign the all grant
documentation required for the current fiscal year funding, and future fiscal years grant documentation
including any applications, awards, extensions or amendments thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 15th day of September, 2015 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Chair Teeter
