AN INTERIM ORDINANCE BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CA:LIFORNTA, AN "RT-1" (MINIM[IM-DENSITY
RESIDENTIAIr-TRAIZER} DISTRICT
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butt, State of
California under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN, as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "RT--1" (Minimum-Density Residential-Trailer) District
for a period of 8 months, and such area shall be subject to the
restr~.etions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
specified and provided.
Said area sa zoned being located in Paradise and more
particularly described as follows:
Being a portion of the S2 of See 1, T22N, R3E, NIDB&M,
being all of Zats 34,35 8c 40 of said Section des-
cribed as beginning at the intersecta.on of Clark Rd.
and Marren Rdo; thence west along ~'arren Rd. to Moore
Rd.; thence north along 14xaore Rd. to a point located
664.1 ft. south of the center of said Sec, l; thence
from said point east, parallel with the east-»west
centerline of said Sec 1, 930 ft., more or less, to
Clark Rd.; thence southwesterly along Clark Rd. to
the point of beginning.
Containing 13,25 acres, more or less.
SECTION 24 The following regulations shall apply in an
"RT-1" (Minimum-Density Residential-Trailer} District:
2,l USES PERMITTED:
ao Single-»family dwellings.
b. Mobile Homes to house one family, when such Mobile
Home is the only housing facil~.ty located on the
premises, provided the following conditions are
conformed to:

1. The floor area within the mobile home shall not
be less than 500 square feet.
2. All sanitary facilities shall conform to the
State Statutes and regulations and to looal
requirements of the Health Department; and
3, All electrical installations shall eanform to
State Statutes and regulations.
e, Accessory Buildings pertinent to the perms.tted uses.
d. Household pets, but not including livestock, poultry
or po3:sonour reptiles.
2,2 LOT AREA REQUIRED:
Minimum lat area of a lot per dwelling unit or a
mobile home unit shall be na less than eight thousan{
one hundred anal twenty five X8,125} square feet
excepting where public sewage disposal service is
provided, a minimum of six thousand. five h~.u~dred
(6,500} square feet may be allowed far inside lots
with a minimum of seven thousand, five hundred
(7,500} square feet for corner lots.

Min~.mum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five
(G5) fee.
204 FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty { 50 } feet from the
centerline of the roads except where the road is
classified by the Jaunty as a Federal Aid Secondary

Road the minimum building setback requirement shall
be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of the
roado
2.5 SIDE YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum side yard shall not be Less than five (5)
feet.
2.6 THE F07~OWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
a. Golf courses and country clubs,
b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, school:
and public utility buildings.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Sections 2 and 3 are
prohibited.
SECTION 4, Tn compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5o The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage shall be published once with the

names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
against the same in the Paradise Post , a newspaper
in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
The facts constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is
based are:
1~ That the area is presently under study far rezoning.
2. Ta be more consistent with the present land use,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, an the l2th day of November,
1974, by the following vote
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Gilman, Zadd, McKillop and Chairman
Madigan
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
