ORDINANCE NO. 1529
AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE AN:"S-2" (MINIMUM-DENSITY
1 SUBURBAN-RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE NO. 475, AS AMENDED
~ The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
~. of California, under and pursuant. to Ordinance Inc 475, as amends ,
4 and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as.fol~.ows:
5 SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
8 the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
7
hereby zoned an "S-2" {Minimum-Density, Suburban-Residential)
8 District, for a period of 12~ days, and such area shall be
9
subject to the restrictions-and restricted uses and regulations.

Beginning at the intersection of State Highway 32 and
15 State Highway 99; thence south along said Hwy. 99 to
its intersection with Little Chico Creek; thence east
16 along Little-Chico Creek to its intersection with the
north-south centerline of Sec 30, T22N, R2E, MDB&M;
17 thence north along the centerlines of said Sec 30 and
Sec 19, T22N, R2E, to the centerline of State Hwy. 32;

boundary of Lot 27 af. the "Humboldt Sub" per map re-

corder; thence north along said west boundary to Dead

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR "S-2" DISTRICTS. The

following regulations shall apply in all "S-2" Districts:

2.I USES PERMITTED:

a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
6
mobile homes.

b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
8
areas .

2.2 AGRICULTURAL USES, EXCEPT LIVESTOCK 5UBJECT TO THE
10
FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year of

age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125}

2.3 LOT AREA:

1 Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50; ft. from the
2 centerline of the road except where the road is
3 classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
4 Rd., the minimum building setback requirement shall

7 2 .6 SIDE YARD
8 Minimum side yard shall be not less than ten (14; ft
9 2.7 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE P~RM1T

11 a. Public and quasi-public uses; including churches.
12 b. Hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and public
13 utility buildings.
14 SECTION 3. A11.uses of land withiri the District not
15 specifically authorized and permitted under Section 2 are prohi-

17 SECTION 4. Penalties for any violation of the zoning
18 hereby imposed within the District shall be as provided in the
19 Zoning Ordinance. 'In compliance with. the provisions. of the Zoning
20 Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance..shall. from and after its effec-
2I tive date become a supplement to and part of the zaning Enabling

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the ~ I9th day of
November 19 74 , lay the following vote : -
