AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONTN{~ A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE AN "A-20" {AGRICULTURAL) DISTRICT,
PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 475, AS AMENDED
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DO ORDTAN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter describe d_ area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, sha11 be and it is hern-
~ by zoned as an "A--20" (Agricultural).District, far a period of
120
days, and such area shall be subject to the restric-
Lions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified
and ~arovided. Said area so zoned boring located in the unincorpor-
ated area of Butte County,
and mono particularly described as followsa

Beginning at the SW corner of Sec 26, T20N, RlE, MDB&M,
said corner being in Nelson West Rd;.thence east along
Nelson West Rd. to the "Townsite of Nelson" per map
rvcordVd in Map Baok 1 on Page 5.8; thence northwesterly
and.,nolrth~asterly'.along said "Town of Nelson" to Midway,
thence northwesterly along Midway to White Ave; thzncA
west along White Ave, to Durham Nelson Rd; thence north
along Durham Nelson Rd. to Hanlon Rd; thence west along
Hanlon Rd, and the westerly prolongation of Hanlon Rd.

24 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A--20" DIS.TR.ICT:
~ The following regulations shall apply to an "A-20"

l 2 . l USES PERMITTED
2 a. Single-family dwellings, including mobile homes.
3 b, General agriculture farming, horticulture, commercial
,4 livestOCk, poultry nraduction, growing and harvestin g
5 forestry products, Taarehousing and storage.
g c. Ac cassory buildings and uses pertinent to tk~.~ oer-
? mitted uses, including agricultural processing plants
8 d. Housing facilities (including trailers} to accommodat
g only employees and their families employed by, the
lp owner or operator of tha pramisAs; and provided fur--
11 ther that such housing facility shall be considered
12 accessory to the main building and shall conform to
~,~ the provisions pertaining to required yard and open
14 space for dwellings.
15 e. Mining, quarrying, commercial excavation and wood
lg processing plants.
17 f. Hunting and fishing camps, including those which
18 accommodate recreational vehicles and travel. trailer
19 providing that said recreational vehicles and travel
20 trailers shall not be used for year-round occupancy.
21 2.2 MTNTMUM LOT AREA REQUIRED:
22 Minimum lot area shall: not b~ Less than twenty (20)
23 ~ acres.
24 2.3 FRONT YARD SETBACK:
~ P4inimum front yard setback shall be fifty (50) feet

Secondary Road, the minimum building setback require=
ments shall be fifty-five E55} feet ~:rom the center-
line of the road.
SECTION 3. All uses of land withi n the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are pro'aibitecl:
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordi.nanco, the same is hereby amended by adding
thi s Ordinance in foil.
SECTI0I~T 5 . The penalt:Ges for the violati on of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions
of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and

after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the ',
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
~imedatp~.y upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifty
(15} days after its passage shall be published once with the
names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
against the same in the Chico Enter rise-Record a newspape
in gen?ral circulation in the County of Butte, State of Californi

2. To be more consistent with the present land use.
