The Board of Supervisors of the County of Buttes State of California
DO ORDAIN as f oL'i.ows
Section 1, Section 19-11 of the Butte County Code is hereby amended.
to read as follows:
i
Section 19-11. Any sewage disposal system constructed under
provisions of this chapter shall be located ~ accordance wath the
recommendation of the County Heap Officer. The mi.nitnwn d~.stances allowed
are set forth in Table I be~.ow.

Except that sewage disposal systems constructed on parcels created prior
to April ~~ 197., and upon which the Health Officer has determined that there is
inadequate area to obtain the distances required in Table I above, shall. be

With respect to the repair of existing sewage disposal systems, the
Health Officer may a17.ow such lesser elistances as' he ~ha1:1 eterm~ne are
necessary to avoid undue hardship, but that will accomplish the general purpose
and intent of this Chapter.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date
of its adoption, aa~d bef ore the expiration of l~ days after its passage, it
shall be published with the names and the members voting for and against the
same, in the Oroville Mercur , a newspaper published ~ the County of
Butte, State of California.
