The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under 'and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, of said
County, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance as amended, DO ORDAIN
as follows:
Ordinance No. 1438 (Amending "A-40" Agricultural)
District, Section 1 is hereby amended to include the following,
located south of Chico, north of Nelson, west of Durham,
California:
Beginning at the NW corner of Sec 3, T20N, R1E, MDB&M
thence east along the north boundary of Sec 2 and 3,
T20N, RlE, MDB&M to House Ave; thence south along
House Ave. to Co1m Ave; thence E along Colm Ave. to
Sullivan Way; thence S along Sullivan way to Pratt
Grant Rd; thence east along Pratt Grant Rd. to Durham
Nelson Rd; thence S along Durham Nelson Rd, to Nelson
West Rd; thence E along Nelson West Rd. to the "Town-
site of Nelson" per map recorded in Map Book 1 on Page
58; thence southeasterly to the southernmost corner of
said "Townsite of Nelson"; thence northeasterly to the
most easterly corner of said "Townsite of Nelson";
thence northwesterly to the most northern corner of
said "Townsite of Nelson'"; thence southwesterly along
said "Townsite of Nelson'" to Midway; thence northwester-
ly along Midway to the south boundary of Sec 6, T20N,
R2E, MDB&M; thence east to the SE corner of said Sea 6,
thence N to the NE corner of said Sec 6; thence east
along the north boundary of Sec 5, TZON, R2E, MDB&M to
Esquon Rd; thence north along Esquon Rd. to Durham
Hwy; thence east along Durham .Hwy. to State Hwy. 99
thence southeasterly and. southerly. along State Hwy.
99 to the SE corner of Sec 36, T19N, R2E, MDB&M;
thence westerly along the south boundary of said Sec
36 and the -Township line common to T18N, MDB&M and
T19N, MDB&M to the Butte County boundary; thence
meandering northerly along the Butte County boundary;
to the south boundary of SEC 34, T20N, R1E, MDB&M;
thence west to the SW. corner of said Sec 34; thence
north to the NW corner of said Sec 34; thence east
to the Section corner common to Sec 26, 27, 34 and
35, T20N, R1E, MDB&M; thence north to the NE corner
of Said Sec 27; thence west to the SW corner of Sec
22, T2QN, R1E, MDB&M; thence north along the west

boundary of Sections 22, l5, 10 and 3, T20N, R1E,
MDB&M to the NW corner of said Sec 3,and.the point
of beginning. :
Excepting therefrom the northerly 500 ft:.- of-the
easterly 2000 ft.•of Sec 25, T19N, R2E;-MDB&M and
also excepting therefrom the "Townsite of: Richvale"
per map recorded in Map Book 5 on Page 53 of the
Butte County Recorder and?the northerly~~l50 ft. of
Lot 2 of "Richvale Colony No. 1" per map recorded in
Book 6 on Page 92 of the Butte County Recorder and
the easterly 500 ft . of the northerly l50 ft . of Lot
3 of said "Richvale~Colony No. l" and the westerly
20 ft. of the northerly 150 ft. of Lot l~..of said
"Richvale Colony No. 1".
Containing 107 sq. miles; more or less.
That this Ordinance shall take effect•:;tfiirty (30} days
after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration of
fifteen (l5) days after its passage, it shall •be 'published with
the names of the members voting for and against the same in the
.~+~~ Enterpris -Record .. __r a newspaper published in the
County of Butte. State of California. •
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of Californian on the 17th day of
