AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE:, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN AR-MH-3 {AGRICULTURAL
RESIDENTIAL-MOBILE HOME} DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE N0 . 4 7 5

of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said
County being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, DO ORDAN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, s~.tuated ~.n
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is here-
by zoned as an "AR-MH-3" (Agricultural Residential-Mobile Home)
District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided
Said area so zoned being located at Campus Drive and C~,ark Road,
located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, more parti-
cularly described as:
That portion of Section 27, T2lN, R3E, MDB&M, located
west of Clark Road and north of Campus Drive.
Containing $ .5 acres, more .or less ~ .,.... _ _, , .
,SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "AR-MH-3" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "AR-MH-3"
{Agricultural Residentiai--Mobile Home} Districts
2.1 ~TSES PERMITTED
a. Single-family dwellings.
b. Mobile Homes-to house one family, when such mobile
home is the only housing facility located an the
premises, provided the following conditions are
conformed to:
1. The gross area of the mobile home shall not

be less than 50Q square feet.
2. All sanitary facilities shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations and to local req~zire-
raents of the Butte County Health Department.
3. All electrical installations shall conform to
State Statutes and regulation as administered
by the Building Division of the Butte County
Public Works Department.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
d. Agricultural uses.
e. Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1. For each horse or head of cattle over one (1}
year of age -eight thousand one hundred twenty-
five (8,125) square-feet.
2. For each head of swine over ten (10) weeks of
age _ eight thousand one hundred twenty-five
($,125) square feet.
3. For each head of sheep or goats - two thousand
(2,OQU) square feet.
2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
a. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
b . Public and quasi.-publ~.c uses including churches,

firehouses, hospital.s,,~parks and playgrounds, school
and public utility buildings.
c. Livestock farming.
d. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
e. Nurseries and p~.ant gardens.
2 .3 Lb'I:~ AREA REQUIRED :
Minimum .required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be not less than three (3) acres.
2.4 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED:
Minimum lot width shall be not less than one hundred
th i:~ty (130 ) feet .
2 , 5 E'RONT"{YARD REQUIRED
Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50} feet from the
center~.ine of the road, except where the road is
c3.assified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
_ Road, the minimum building setback requirements
shall be fifty--five (5S} feet from thQ~::centerline
of the road.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions o£ the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zon-
ing hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided atn
the honing Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions

of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall be from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full fores and effect from and after thirty
(30} days after the date of its passage, and before the expira- ~,,
tion of fifteen (l5} days after its passage, this ordinance shah
be published once with the names of the members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against it in the Chico Enter rise-Record
a newspaper published in the County of
Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, this 22nd day of
July, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron,.Richter, Madigan, McKil3.op and Chairman Ladd
