AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT DN CERTAIN ROAD WzTHIN TIDE
COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358)
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
2 does ordain as follows:
3 Section 1: Said Board rinds and cletex~.ines tha-~ upon the basis of an
4 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte Cou~.ty highway hereinafter~~
fj described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
g the State of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (~~5) miles per
+)' hour is mare than is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and
$ declares a prima facie speed lim~.t on such Butte County highway as follows:
g That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five miles per hour is hereby
10 determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES signs be
~,], placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter described county highway,

13 Foothill Boulevard I'roz~. Droville-Quincy Highway to 01ive Highway
14 Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances-in conflict herewith
15 ~'e hereby repealed.
lg Section 3: The several fea~uxes, parts, provisions, sections and terms
],~' of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
],$ validity, iI' any, of any feature, part, provisions, section or term thereof,
19 shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
;~p five or invalid.
21 Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
22 hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving nata.ce of the prima facie
23 speed la~znit established. herein, within thirty ~30) days of the adoption hereof .
24 This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
~ before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published

local newspaper publa.shed in the County of Butte, State of Cal~.foxnia,
PASSID AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of Cala.fornia, at the regular meeta.ng thereof on the 3rd day
of 5eptembe , 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Madigan, McKillop, Cameron, Richter and Chairman Ladd
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
