AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
1 COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "S-2"
(SUBURBAN) DISTRICT

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, torte

of Califvrnia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended

and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN, as follows:

SECTION 1. The hereinafter descrrbed area situated in

the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is ~

hereby zoned as a "Sw2" {Suburban)- District fora period of 120
S
days, and such area sha~.l be subject to the restrictions and re-
9
strictad uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.

Said area so zoned being located northwest of Chico,
11
more particularly described as:

All of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 of °Cussick Tract" per
13. map of record in Map Baok i on Page 48 of the Butte
County Recorder.

Containing 64 acres, more or-less.

SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "S-2" DISTRICT:

The following regulations shall apply in a "S-2"

(Suburban) District:

2.1 USES PERMITTED:

20 a. Single-family dwellings, nat including tents or
mobile homes.

22 b. Accessory buildings pertinent to t'rte permitted
area .

24 2.2 AGRICULTURAL USES, EXCEPT LIVESTOCK SUBJECT TO

26 a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year o

1 age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125)

g b. For each head of swine over ten {~0) weeks of age,

8 2.3 LOT AREA:

12 Minimum lot width shall be not lass than one hundred

14 2 , 5 FRONT YARD :
15 Minimum front yard shall be fifty {50) feet from
16 the centerline of the road except where the road
17 is classified by the County as a Federal Aid
18 Secondary Road, the minimum building setback require
19 ment shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the center-
20 line of said road.
21 2.6 SIDE YARD:
22 Minimum side yard shall be not less than five (5) ft
23 SECTION 3, The following uses subject to securing a
24 Use Permit in each case:

SECTION ~. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted are pro x i ~,.
SECTION 5. Sn compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 6. The penalties for the violation of the
zona.ng hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided
in the Zoning Enabbing Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and befare~~.the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its~_:passage, shall be published once with the
names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and
against the same in the Chico Enterprise-Record , a newspaper
in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of Californi .
The facts constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is
based are:
1. To be more consistent with the present land use.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 3rd day of September
1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Richter, Madigan, McKillop and Chairman Ladd
NOES : None
ABSENT: Nose
