Resolution No. 16-03:
RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING
TO VACATE UNNECESSARY PU;LIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN THE TOWN OF '1 ORD
',EREAS,this Board has received a request for vacation of a portion of public rights of way as described
below; and
WHEREAS,the Planning Commission has considered this vacation, and found the request consistent with
the Butte County General Plan, and
WHEREAS,this Board initiates a proceeding to vacate a portion of a public right of way as described in the
attached Exhibit A and shown on the attached Exhibit B; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of California Streets and Highways Code
(commencing with Section 8320) this Board shall set a date, hour and place for a hearing on the request for
vacation.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors:
1. That this Board hereby gives notice that at its regular meeting on April 12, 2016, at 9:40 a.m., in the Board
Chambers, Butte County Administration Building, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville California, a hearing
shall be held to hear all persons interested in the vacation of that certain portion of public rights of way in
the Town of Nord southwest of Market Street. The streets to be vacated are as follows:
6 The southwesterly extension of Folsom Street between Market Street and Sacramento Street;
0 The northwestern half of the southwesterly extension of Washington Street between Market
Street and Sacramento Street; and
0 The portion of Sacramento Street between Folsom Street and Washington Street.
2. That a map showing the public right of way to be vacated is on file in the Office of the Butte County
Department of Public Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
3. That at the conclusion of said hearing the Board intends to vacate said public right of way.
4. That this vacation proceeding is being conducted pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code (commencing with Section 8320).
5. That this Resolution be posted and published pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division
9 of the California Streets and Highways Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22nd day of March, 2016 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert,Teeter and Chair Connelly

ABSENT: NONE

Portions of existing County road rights of way as shown on that map entitled"Town of
Nord"filed for record in the office of the Butte County Recorder in Book 1 of Maps at
Page 8,more particularly described as follows:
Parcel I.
That portion of Folsom Street,being 40 feet wide,lying southwesterly of the
northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line of Market Street as shown on said
map.
Parcel 2
That portion of Sacramento Street,being 40 feet wide, lying northwesterly of the
- centerline of-Washington Street as-shown on said-rnap:
Parcel 3
The northwesterly one-half of Washington Street, said one-half being 40 feet wide, lying
southwesterly of the southeasterly prolongation of the southwesterly line of Market Street
as shown on said map.
