AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A "P-Q"
~PUBLTC QUASI-PUBLIC) DISTRICT
The Board of SupervisorG of the County of Butte, 'State
of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as
amended and declaring an emergency,"DO ORDAIN, as o ows: `
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is
hereby zoned as a "P-Q'T (Public Quasi-Public) District for a
per~,od of 120 days, and such area shall be subject to the
restrictions anc~ restricted use.G and regulations hereinafter
speczf ied and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in Durham more
particularly described as:
A portion of Durham State Land Settlement mare
particularly described as:
All that property located north of and within
650 feet of the north boundary of "North
Addition to Durham" per map of Record in book l
on page 40 of the Butte County Recorder, west
of Midway, and east of the northerly prolonga-
tion of the easterly right-of -way line of
Putney Driven
Identified as a portion of AP 40-18-05,
containing l2 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR A "P-Q" (PUBLIC QUASI-
PUBLTC) DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in a "P-Q"
District:

4 2.2 MINIMUM LOT AREA :
5 None
g 2.3 MINIMUM LOT WIDTH:

g 2.4 MINIMUM SIDE YARD:
g None, except where the side of a lot abuts upon
Zp the side of a lot in an 'xR" District, in which
I1 case the abutting side yard shall be not less than
12 five (5) feet, and except where the side yard on
13 the street .tide of a corner lot abuts on an "R"
14 District, in wh~.ch case the side yard on the
15 street side shall be one-half the corresponding

17 The side yard requirements for residential
18 dwellings shall conform to the requirements for

20 2.5 MINIMUM FRONT YARD:
21 None, except buildings and structures shall be
22 fifty (50} feet from the centerline of the roads
23 except where the road is cla.asified as a Federal
24 Aid Secondary, then the minimum setback shall be

:SECTTON 3. All uses of land not specifically
authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited within
the district.
SECTION 4. ~n compliance with the provisions of ,said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the .Game is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTTON 5. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be aG provided
in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance .shall from and
after its effective date become a Gupplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
S~CTTON b. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen {l5) days after its passage, shall be published once
with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting
for and against the same in the Chico Enterprise-Record--_,__,~, a
newspaper in general. circulation in the County of Butte, State
of Californian The facts constituting the urgency on which this
Ordinance is based are:
1. To be mare con.Gistent with the present land use.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the loth day of
September, 19759 by the fallowing vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Richrer;;~ Madigan, McKill.op and Chairmen Ladd
