HomeMy WebLinkAbout16-090 41 4,7# 1464) 4,4 4i 0 ' 1 4011"/41,1 rfliirli("fill (I k*1/11 40:10///1 1 174/2:7P/ 1 4/411 lel le ofid,,ii/h„fieiti, .:,v., ),,i, 4,40t(A)/,i1v110 i, IA 01,4 iitoldA 0 ii V/ige41:', I, ' iill' 1,(11V4 11:i 11411(1 I 64'i 1101 il iii't ,i0,4,14: /////7'ili// y"/V/ly / ; 4 41,v 47',,Iiii4t 101 ' Resolution No. 16-090 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF REALIGNMENT REVENUE IN FISCAL YEAR 2016-17 WHEREAS, the State Legislature enacted Assembly Bill 1491 in fiscal year 1991-92 to give counties a source of funding to provide public health, mental health, and social services programs for which responsibility was transferred to counties through the realignment of programs; and WHEREAS, realignment provided flexibility to counties to address local conditions within Section 17600.20(a) of California Welfare and Institutions Code which states: "Any county or city or city and county may reallocate money among accounts in the local health and welfare fund, not to exceed 10% of the amount deposited in the account from which the funds are reallocated for that fiscal year;" and WHEREAS, revenues to support public assistance programs require a transfer of ten percent of revenue to be received in fiscal year 2016-17, estimated at $818,852, from Public Health Realignment to the Social Services Fund, which is within the statutory transfer limit. NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT l'ESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors authorize the transfer of 10% percent of Public Health Realignment revenue to be received in fiscal year 2016-17 to Social Services for an estimated total transfer to Social Services of$818,852 and make the finding that the transfers of realignment revenues are based on the most cost-effective use of available revenues to maximize client outcomes.
