RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AUDITOR-CONTROLLER TO REISSUE A TIME EXPIRED CHECK
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 28902(a), any warrant (aka check) issued by the
county is void if not presented to the county treasurer for payment within six months after its issuance date;
and
WHEREAS, at any time after a period of two years from the date on which the original warrant becomes
void, pursuant to Government Code Section 29802(c), if the payee or assignee presents such warrant to the
governing body of the agency on which the warrant was drawn, the governing body, by resolution, may
authorize the auditor to draw a new warrant in favor of the payee or assignee in the same amount as the original
warrant; and
WHEREAS,Jennifer Roth has submitted a request, pursuant to Government Code Section 29802 et seq.,
for the reissuance of a time expired check, originally issued by Butte County on May 28, 2004, in the amount of
$235.21; and
WHEREAS, the Auditor-Controller's office has verified that the check is time expired and that no
replacement check has been issued.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the
Auditor-Controller to draw a new warrant to the above-named payee in the same amount of the original
warrant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 26th day of July, 2016, by the
following vote:
