AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, A N
"A-2 LTD" (LIMITED} DISTRICT
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, Mate
2 of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No, 475, as
3 amended, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
4 ~ECTTON 1. The hereinafter described area situated
5 in the County of Butte, .state of Califarnia9 shall be and it is
8 hereby zoned as an "A-2 Ltd" {Limited} District far a period of
7 120 days, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
$ restricted uses and regulations hereinafter .specified and
g provided.
10 laid area so zoned being located southwest of Oroville,

Sections 18 and 19, TI9N, R4E, more particularly

I4 Beginning at the intersection of Oroville Dam
Blvd. east and Feather River Blvd.; thence
15 southerly along Feather River Blvd, to Georgia
Pacific Way; thence west along the westerly
16 prolongation of the centerline of Georgia Pacific
Way to the centerline of the Feather River; thence
17 northerly along the centerline of the Feather
River to the Oroville City Limits; thence

'SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A --2 LIMITED" DISTRICT:
2,1 The provisions of this elassificatian shall apply
to property a,s described in section 1.
202 USES PERMITTED:
The following uses are permitted within all parts
of the District:
a. Lawful uses of land now e.stabli~hed.
b. Single-family dwellings and accessory buildings.
c. Agricultural uses and buildingsa
2.3 USES PERMITTED REQUIRED:
No multiple-family dwellings, commercial uses of
land or buildings, industrial uses of land or buildingrt, mobile
home parks, recreational vehicle parks, camp.5ite.s, public or
quasi-public uses including .schools, churches, public buildings,
public utility buildings wi11 be allowed without first ,securing
a use permit approved by the Planning Commissiono

2.4 MINIMUM SETBACK REQUIRED:
Fifty {50) ft. from the centerline of the road,
except where the road is classified a.s a Federal Aid Secondary,
then the minimum setback .sha~.l be fifty-five {55) ft. from the
centerline of .said road.
2,5 BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIREMENT:
Each single-family residence sha11 be located an a
site not less than eight thousand, one hundred and twenty-five
(8,125) sq. ft.
206 SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum side yard .shall not be less than five
(5) feet.
2 0 7 REAR YARD REQUTREMEI~IT~
The minimum rear yard shall not be Iesrt than five
(5) feet.
2.8 OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) parking spaces for each living unit, or one
{1) parking space for each three (3) employees, or one (1)
parking space for each two thousand (2,000} sq. ft. of grass
floor space, whichever is greatera ',
209 TRUCK LOADING AND UNLOADING SPACE:
Private off-street loading .space for the handling
of all goods, materials and equipment sha11 be provided. .Such
space .shall be of sufficient area and of such design as to permit
the parking and unloading of vehicles without extending into any
existing street beyond the curb line.

1 2010 In cases where compliance with provisions of this
2 section wi11 result in undue hardship, a variance may be approved
3 in said manner prescribed in the handling of a use permit.
4 .SECTION 3. A11 uses of land within the district not
6 specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
6 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
7 Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the Game is hereby amended by adding
8 thiG Ordinance in full.
9 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the
10 zoning hereby imposed within the district .shall be as provided in
~-Z the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions
12 of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall. from and
13 after it.s effective date become a supplement to and part of the
14 Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
15 SECTION 5. This urgency ordinance .shall take effect
16 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of
17 fifteen (15) days after it.~ pa.s.sage .shall be published once with
18 the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for
