RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF INA MCFARLAND
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Ina McFarland, Administrative Analyst, Senior of the Department of Employment and Social Services
(DESS), has announced her retirement effective August 31, 2016: and
WHEREAS, Ina began her career with the County of Butte on December 26, 1990 working in the Department of
Human Resources, then transferred to Behavioral Health as a Staff Services Systems Specialist before transferring to DESS
on September 02, 2000 to her current position of Administrative Analyst, Senior; and
WHEREAS, lna has worked diligently for the past 25 years and eight months in the best interest of Butte County
and its citizens, earning the respect and confidence of her supervisors and peers; and
WHEREAS, Ina's principal duties with the department was facilitating the approval of the dozens of contracts and
agenda transmittals that were prepared each year. Ina could always be counted on to get the most complex and lengthy
contracts approved. Her expertise in preparing contracts along with her customer service made her one of the most
favored analysts to work with. Ina always set the highest standards for the work she produced; and
WHEREAS, Ina was instrumental in implementing the Tier |p contracting procedures in the department, her
expertise was so recognized that she was allowed to train and test other employees in these procedures; and
WHEREAS, Ilna always demonstrated the highest degree of integrity and ethics in her work with contracts, always
mindful of the taxpayer's money, and what is best for Butte County and its citizens; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board,on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Butte County,
extends its appreciation for your many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 27th day of September 2016 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisor Wahl, Kirk, Lambert,Teeter and Chair Connelly
