RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF pArn MORELLI
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Patti Morelli, Supervisor, Administrative Analyst of the Department of Employment and
Social Services (DESS), has announced her retirement effective December 31, 2016: and
WHEREAS, Patti began her career with the County of Butte on November 13, 1984 working as an
Eligibility Worker and Social Services Aide in the Department of Social Welfare, then transferred to the
Department of Probation in October 1986 working as a Probation Officer and Supervising Probation Officer
before transferring to DESS on March 6, 1999 working as a Welfare Staff Analyst, then Administrative Analyst,
Senior. On November 8, 2014, Patti promoted to her current position of Supervisor,Administrative Analyst; and
WHEREAS, Patti has worked diligently for the past 32 years and 1 1/2 months in the best interest of
Butte County and its citizens, earning the respect and confidence of her supervisors and peers; and
WHEREAS, Patti's principal duties with the department included preparation and management of
contracts and programs for Children's Services and Adult Services, program support serving vulnerable families
and children in our community and supervision of senior analysts of Children's and Adult Services. Patti could
always be counted on to provide a high level of skill in managing projects, people and programs to create and
support services to families. Patti always set high standards in any work she was involved in and was a leader
in the many review projects required by State and Federal agencies monitoring DESS services; and
WHEREAS, Patti always demonstrated the highest degree of integrity and ethics in her work with DESS,
always mindful of the families we serve, and what is best for Butte County and its citizens; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of
Butte County, extends its appreciation for her many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 6th day of December 2016 by the
following vote:
