' 4 / i. i l„ ✓ e✓ i ur / ✓ /417/id 47,0,9%% /4%, wf � � � Resolution No. 16-164 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO REVENUE AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA VICTIM COMPENSATION BOARD (CalVCB), FORMERLY THE VICTIM COMPENSATION AND GOVERNMENT CLAIMS BOARD (VCGCB) AGREEMENT NUMBER VCGC5045 Al WHEREAS,the Butte County Board of Supervisors previously entered into an agreement with the State of California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board for funding to process applications and claims for unreimbursed losses to victims of crime, and; WHEREAS, pursuant to Senate Bill 836, the Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board was renamed the California Victim Compensation Board, effective July 1, 2016, and; WHEREAS, the of California Victim Compensation Board has authorized additional revenue under the agreement of$9,400, for a revised total revenue amount of$475,720 for the term of July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2018, and; WHEREAS, new allocation will be $155,440 for fiscal year 2015-2016, $160,140 for fiscal year 2016- 2017 (additional $4,700) and $160,140 for fiscal year 2017-2018 (additional $4,700), for services, including data entry, verification and adjudication of claims for the unreimbursed financial losses of victim of crime, and; WHEREAS, the amendment also requires the County to make a reasonable attempt to collect overpayments when there been an error by County when issuing payment or reimbursements from the revolving fund, and; WHEREAS,the State of California, Victim Compensation Board requires the local governing body to authorize execution of the agreement amendment and related documents; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Butte County District Attorney to enter into the agreement amendment with the State of California Victim Compensation Board, and further authorizes the District Attorney to execute the agreement amendment, certifications and other documents required by the terms of the agreement.
