Resolution No. 16-174
RESOLUTION WAVING THE COST OF REPLACEMENT LIBRARY CARDS FOR SIXTY DAYS
WHEREAS, Reading and community programming strengthens the citizens of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, The Library is embarking on a new technological venture which will empower citizens to
better protect their reading privacy and allow staff to do more programs and focus on customer service; and
WHEREAS, Many citizens will need new library cards in order to best utilize the new self-check, Radio
Frequency Identification Technology (RFID);
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Butte County Board of Supervisors authorizes the Butte
County Library to waive the cost of replacement library cards for sixty days beginning Thursday January 5,
2017 through Sunday March 5, 2017.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, this 6th
day of December, 2016, by the following vote:
