BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, "S-2'~ { SUBURBAN)
DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE N0. 475.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No, 475 of said
~Cotxnty being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, D0 OR:DAIN as follflr~~:
SECTION Io The hereinafter described area, situated in
the County of Butte, State of California, sha11 be and it is
hereby zoned as an" ~S-2" {Suburban) District, and such area sha11
be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regula-
tions hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned
,being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County,
northwest of Chicop more particularly described as:
Property located on the north side of Mate Hwy. 32
west of Muir Avenue, more particularly described as
being lots 1 through 8 and 11 through 19 of 'tVista
Del Mante Sub" per map af.recard in map book 17 on
ppage 6 of the Butte County Recorder, containing
17 acres, more or less.
Excepting therefrom the southerly 100 ft, of said
Lot 1.
SECTION 2., REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-2" DISTRICT:
The following regulations sha11 apply in an '~S-2'~
(Suburban} District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
ao Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
mobile homes.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
area .
2.2 AGRICULTURAL USES, EXCEPT LIVESTOCK SUBJECT TO THE
FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year of

age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five
(8,125) sq. ft.

bo For each head of swine over ten (10) weeks of age,
eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125)
sq. ft.
c, For each head of sheep or goats, two thousand
{2,000) sqo ft.
2.3 LOT AREA:
Minimum requ~.red area of a tat per dwelling unit
shall be not less than one {l) acre.
2,4 LOT WIDTH:
Minimum lot width shall be nat less than one
hundred thirty {13p) feet.
2.5 FRONT YARD:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from
the centerline of the road except where the road
is classified by the County as a Federal Aid
Secondary Road, the minimum building setback
requirement shall be fifty-five (55} feet from
the centerline of said road.
2.b SIDE YARD:
Minimum side yard shall be not less than ten
{10} feet.
SECTION 30
The following uses subject to securing a Use Permit
in each case:

a. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches.
b. Hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools and
pubYic utility buxld~.ngs,
SECTION 4. All uses of land not specifically author-
ized and permitted under Section 2 are prohibited within the
~ district.
SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 6. The penalties for the violation of the
zoning hereby imposed within the district ,shall be as provided in
-the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions
of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this ordinance sha11 be from
and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 7. This ordina nce shall be and it is hereby
declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage, and before the expir-
ation of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance
shall be published ante with the names of the members of the
Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the

Caunt~ of Butte, State of California.
