AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358)
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,

3 Section ~,: Said Board finds and determines that. upon the bass of an
4 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter-
5 described come within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code
6 of the State of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of fifty-five
7 (5S) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways
8 and determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County
9 highways as follows:
10 A. That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour
11 is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 25 MILES
l2 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described
13 County highway, to wit:
i4 GUYNN AVENUE from West Lindo Avenue to Renshaw Avenue
15 B. That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour
1B is hereby determined, deccared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES
17 signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county
18 highways, to wit:
19 WYANDOTTE MINERS RANCH ROAR from Oroville Bangor Highway to l.2 miles
20 north.
21 Section 2: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
2~ are hereby repealed.
23 Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections, and
24 terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
~ the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term
26 thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the

same inoperative or invalid.
Section ~: The, Department ,of Public Works of, the County of Butte is. ...
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs g wing notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption
hereof.
'his ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, anal
before the expiration. of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the same,
once in a local newspaper published in. the County of Butte, State of
Ca ], ifornia .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 23rd day of
197„,x, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Richter, Madigan, McKillop and Chairman Ladd
