'The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does
ordain as follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds-and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter-described
comes within the provisions ofSection 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
than. is reasonable and safe an said highway and determines and declares a
prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
`T'hat a prima facie speed limt of thirty-five (35) miles per hour is hereby
determined declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES signs be
placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county highway,
to wit:
KEEF`ER ROAD from State Highway 99 to 500 feet east of Hicks Lane
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
"hive or invalid.
Section 4-: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed Limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it sha11 be published

with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a
lacal newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors o~ the County of Butte,
State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 30th day
of SanfiPm6er _ _, 7.975, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Cameron, Madigan, McKillop, i2ichfer and Chairman Ladd
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
