HomeMy WebLinkAbout1624ORDINANCE NO. 162,4 1 2 _. 3 4 5 e 7 8 9 30 '' 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 is 20 21 22 23 24 2S 26 AN INTERIM ORDINANCE BONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "S-2" (SUBURBAN) DISTRICT The Board of Supervisors of the-County of Butte,-State of California under a~rzd pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended, and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN, as follows: SECTION 1. ~he hereinafter described area situated in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "S-2" (Suburban) District for a period of 120 days, and such area shall ~e subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located nt~i+thwest of Chico, more particularly described as follows: Lots 1 and 6 of "Cussick Tract" per map of record in Map Book 1 on Page 48 of the Butte County Recorder . Lot 15 of "Bay Tract"No. 1" per map of record in Map Book 1 on Page 18 of the Butte County Recorder. Lots 5, 6, 7, 12, and 13, the S~ of Lot 14 and the westerly 451.29 feet of Lot $ of "Evans Tract" per map of record in Map Book 3 on Page 67 of the Butte County Recorder. Containing 120 acres, more or less, Chico. SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "S-2" DISTRICT: The following regulations sha11 apply in an "S-2" District: 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted area. 2.2 AGRICULTURAL USES-; EXCEPT LZVESTOCR-SUBJECT TO THE--- FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: a. For each horse or head of cattle over one year of age, eight thousand one hundred twenty-five { 8,125) sq . feet. b . For each head of swine over. ten (101 weeks of age , eight thousand one hundred twenty-fa,ve (8,125) sq. feet. c. For each head of sheep or goats, two thousand {2,000) sq.-feet. 2.3 LOT AREA; Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit. shall be riot less than one (1) acre. 2.4 LOT WIDTH: Minimum lot width shall be not less than one -._. hundred thirty (130 ) feet , 2 . The following uses subject to- securing a Use Permit in each case: a. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches, b. Hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools, and public utility buildings. SECTION 4. A11 uses of land within the district not specifically authorized and permitted are prohibited. SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hert~by amended by adding this Ordinance in full. SECTION 6. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district ;hall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance . ~ . SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against the same in the Chico Enter rise Record a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of Calif- ornia. The facts constituting the urgency on which this Ordinance is based are ~..
