The Board of Supertrisors of the County of Butte do ordain as follows: Section 27-1 of the Putte County Code is amended to read as follows: Section 27-1. Electrical Code - Adopted by reference. Zn order to provide minimum standards for the proper regulation of the installation of electrical systems, the Uniform Electrical. Code (1975 Edition, published by the Pacific Coast Electrical. Association Inc., which adopts by reference the 1.975 National Electrical Code) is hereby adopted, incorporated, and made a part of this ordinance by reference without further publication, as though set forth at length herein, and is hereby declared to be the electrical code for the County of Butte and shall apply to and govern all electrical installations in the unincorporated areas of said county, except as hereinafter provided. Section 27-3 of the Butte County Code is amended to read as follows: Section 273 - Same - Amendments, additions and deletions. The Uniform Electrical. Code adopted by Section 27-1 is amended as i follows: Section 2A of said Uniform Electrical Code is hereby amended by the insertion of the following paragraphs after sub- section 2A-4 of said Uniform Electrical Code: "5. No permits shall be required fer any agricultural. building. "No permits shall be required fvr detached structures which have a total net area, including additions, of not more than two hundred (200) square feet, which would have an. occup classification of Type ,1 as defixzed in the iTniform Building Code and which would be detached a minimum of six (6) feet from any building requiring a building permit. This exemption shall apply to tool sheds, wood sheds, and pump houses. This exempt shall not apply to carports and garages." 6. No permit sha11 be required for the installation, alteration, or repair of agricultural water pumps used solely for agricultural. purposes." Section 3 of said Uniform Electrical Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. Fees for Permits and Inspection. Any person desiring an electrical permit shall, at the time of filing an application therefor, pay a fee as required in this section. A. For issuing permits, each -------------------$ 3.00 B. For each extra inspection caused. by failure to correct a defective installation -------------$10.00 7:. For the inspection of any wiring for which no f~e_ is herein prescribed, for the time consumed, $1.2.50 per hour. One-half (1/2) hour minimum. .T. Temporary service, including all equipment at one location: Each location not exceeding 100 amperes -----------------------------------$10.00 Over l00 amperes, use regular fee schedule. Any person who shall commence any electrical work for which a permit is required by this ordinance without firs having obtained a permit therefor shall, if subsequently granted to obtain a permit, pay a penalty in the amount of triple the permit fee, fixed by the section for such wank provided that this provision sha11 not apply to emergency work when it shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Chief Electrical Inspector that such wank was urgently necessary and that it was not practical to obtain a permit therefor before the commencement of woxk, In all such cases, a permit must be obtained as soon as it is practical to do sa, and if there be an unreasonable delay in obtaining such a permit, a triple fee as herein provided shall be charged.
