BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE N0. 163Z
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED BZMIT ON CERTAIN ROAM WITHIN THE
COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CA.ZIJ}ORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358}
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, does
2 ordain as follows:
~ Section 1: Said Board finds axed determines that upon the basis of an
~ engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter-described
5 comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
~ of Calif ornia, iza. that a speed limit of fifty-five (55) miles per hour is more
~ thaw is reasonable and safe on said highway and determines and declares a
g prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
~ That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45} miles per hour is hereby
lp determi.ned,declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT ~5 MIKES signs be
11 placed at appropriate locations an the hereinafter-described. county highway,
12 to wit:
13 SKYWAY from. Magalia-Cemetary Road to Hupp-Coutolenc Road
lei Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in. confliot herewith
15 are hereby repealed.
lg Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and tuns
],7 of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
18 validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section or term thereof,
19 shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the sane inopera-
2p five or invalid.
21 Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
22 hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
23 speed limit established herein, within thirty {30) days of the adoption hereof.
~ This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30} days after its passage, and
~ before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be
28 published with the names of the members `voting fox and against the same, once
