The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section. 4-1:4 of the Butte County Co e is
hereby amended as follows:
Section 4--1.4. Any person violating any provision of
section 4--i through 4.1.3 shall. be guilty of a misdemeanor,
punishable by fine or fines of not less than $15.00 for the first
offense occurring during any licensing year; of not less than
.$50.00 for a second offense during any licensing year; and of not
~lless than $100.00 for a third or subsequent offense occurring in
{said licensing year.
Section 2. Section 4-4.1 is hereby added to the Butte
County Code to read as follows:
Section 4-4.1. Whenever dog license tags are issued
pursuant to this chapter, any such tag sha11 be issued for half
of the fee required for a dog, if a certificate is presented from
~a licensed veterinarian that the dog has been spayed or ne~.tered.
Section 3. This ordinance sha11 take effect and be in fors
at the expiration of thirty (30) days from and after its passage
and before the expiration of fifteen (l5) days after its passage
sha11 be published once with the names of the members voting for
and against the same in a newspaper of general circulation printed
and published in the County of Butte.
